Girl Scout & Youth Activities

Amy has ridden and owned her own horses since the age of six. She recently developed a love for off-the-track thoroughbreds and is enjoying retraining talented hunter prospects, including her own 16.3-hand gelding, Law, pictured below.

She spent the summer of 2007 teaching riding at the stables at Oglebay Resort before starting at Story Brook Stables that August. She brings to our program a great love for teaching combined with an abundance of enthusiasm and energy that make her lessons fun.

Liz Chasky

in Texas and Colorado, where she competed in cutting and barrel racing.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from West Liberty State College and went on to obtain her insurance license as well. She now sells insurance for Farm Family, American National, and Progressive, including equine liability, farm, commercial auto, and other types of insurance.

Erin enjoys teaching riding, especially barrels and games, training horses, and buying and selling horses across the country.

Teresa Davis

Teresa is best known for organizing the Mane Event Hunter-Jumper Schooling Shows at South Park. This series of five shows, sanctioned by the Mountaineer Hunter Jumper Association, is enjoying its second season of giving local riders a good-quality hunter-jumper series in which to compete.

In addition, she created the Mane Event gaming shows, which took place in August and October 2008 at South Park, providing barrel racers and gamers with a great local show series, which will expand to five shows in 2009.

Teresa's many years of riding and ability to share her knowledge with riders from beginner through advanced levels make her a great asset to Story Brook Stables' riding program.
