Story Brook Stables Riding Lessons

From Pittsburgh
Take I-79 South to Exit 41 (Meadow Lands/Race Track Road). At the end of the ramp, make a left onto Race Track Road. Pass the Meadows race track on left, and continue to light at “T” at Route 19. Make a right onto 19 South. Go half a mile up the hill and make the first left onto Davis School Road. Proceed 1.3 miles to Story Brook Stables on the left.

From South Hills
Take Rt. 19 South and pass Donaldson’s Crossroads on the left. Proceed 6.5 miles to the light at the bottom of the hill at Race Track Road. Do not turn there, but proceed another half mile to your next left, and turn onto Davis School Road. Story Brook Stables is 1.3 miles down on the left.

                From South Park or Finleyville Area
                    Take Rt. 88 to Trax Farms. Turn beside Trax Farms onto Trax Road, which turns into
                    Turkey Foot Road. At the end, make a left and pass the new plan of homes with the
                    fountain. At a “T” (sign on left “McMurray 4”), make a right onto Venetia Road. (Will
                    pass White tractor center on left.) Will come to a stop sign at Munntown Road. A
                    church sits on the left. Stay straight. When you see the sign to Eighty Four, make a left onto Thomas Eighty Four Road. Stay straight onto 519 South. Pass 84 Lumber on the right. At the intersection, make a right onto 136 West. Pass the Spring House on the right. Proceed up the hill. On right, pass Appaloosa Lane with stone pillars at entrance to the road. As you go up the hill, pass a second set of stone pillars. At the top of the hill, the road will level out for a second before continuing up. Where the road levels, make a right onto Davis School Road. Go about a mile. Where the road bends to the right, make a right up the driveway. Will see a sign at the end of the driveway that says “Story Brook Stables.” Mailbox says “590 Davis School Road.”

From Rt. 70
Follow the signs to Washington. There will be two exits marked “Murtland Avenue.” Get off at the one that says Murtland Ave./19 North (not 19 South). This spills you onto Rt. 19 North. Go about two miles, watching along the righthand side for Gabriel Brothers shopping plaza, bowling lanes, a U-Haul center, Curinga’s Restaurant, and the Tarbuck Center, a white-pillared office building. Just after the Tarbuck Center, make a sharp right onto Davis School Road. Story Brook Stables is 1.3 miles down on the left.
